Ice Ice Baby!

All weekend, the TV weather guys were getting psyched up about the big ice storm coming our way. I've lived in Arkansas most of my life and I know better than to believe it until I see it. Well...I've seen it.

We went to school on Monday just like normal. By noon, people were starting to get a little antsy. The radar wasn't looking good. Rudy called and said that Fayetteville was dismissing early so the ice wouldn't hit while the buses were running. Not long after that, our principal came over the intercom and said that we would be dismissing at 2:00. By 2:00, things were full-blown crazy at the school. We have so many teachers who live in Fayetteville and had a 20-30 minute drive ahead of them, so I stayed for a while to help get the kids home. At 2:40, I had to leave to get Caleb, b/c his school was closing at 3:00. I scraped my windshield and eased my way to his school, then skated across the parking lot to pick him up. We were almost home when a truck in front of us did a 360 and ended up in the ditch. I white-knuckled it the rest of the way and have never been so glad to see my garage. At that point, all we had was some freezing rain, which was creating black ice on the roads. Rudy stopped at Lowe's on the way home to get de-icer for our sidewalk. He also got candles and a good flashlight in case we lost power. We watched all night as the freezing rain and sleet continued. We both got calls pretty early in the evening that we would not be having school on Tuesday.

Tuesday morning (1/27/09):
We woke up and looked out the window to see a completely glazed over world. Here's what it looked like at 9:15, when I finally got the camera. (These pictures are taken through our windows. I wasn't about to go out in that mess!)

Here's the view from our front door.
This is the Hallelujah Hog on our back porch.
He was celebrating my first snow day of the school year. :)

This is Caleb's playset in the backyard.
We stayed inside all day. Rudy's back has been out since the weekend, so he's been having a hard time getting around, but he graciously relieved me for a nap while he played with, fed and put Caleb down for his nap. I slept for four hours! When I woke up, the ice hadn't stopped accumulating. It hadn't even slowed down. Here's what it looked like at 3:15.
Again...the view from the front door. Notice the difference in the icicles and the sidewalk.
And, here's the Hallelujah Hog. He didn't have much to cheer about with this much ice on his head. (Not to mention how poorly the basketball team has been playing...)Here's the afternoon shot of the playset. It'll be a while before we're back out there again.
By dinnertime last night, all of the schools had cancelled for today (Wednesday). We had a quiet night at home last night. I read and Rudy played poker on the internet. He got up early with Caleb this morning and I slept in. I love snow days. Rudy, on the other hand, gets cabin fever at the mere mention of a snow day. He hates the idea of being stuck in the house. Apparently, Caleb is going to take after him. He has been so antsy these past couple of days. He NEEDS to get out and play and he needs to be around someone other than us. He has played with his toys and watched his movies and he's just done with it all.
Today was Rudy's turn to take a good long nap. His back is still hurting, so he slept for quite a while. I put Caleb down for a nap and told him that we'd go outside when he woke up. He did a good job of staying in his room, but just never could quite get to sleep. While he was in his room, Rudy and I found out that his grandmother who lives on the other side of town had been without power in her house since Tuesday morning. We tried to get her to come over here Monday afternoon before this all started, but she said she'd be fine. Well, lo and behold, it got down to 48 degrees in her house. Rudy called her this afternoon and she agreed to come over here. The power company is telling her that it may be the weekend (or longer) before she has power again. So...Rudy went over to get her this afternoon. I was a nervous wreck the whole time he was gone. He said that the main roads were passable and the interstate is fine, but the neighborhoods and side streets were still pretty bad. They made it home safely and we enjoyed dinner and a game of marbles before they went to bed.
While Rudy was gone to get Grandma, I took Caleb outside for that walk I promised him. I even got up in the attic and got his sled down. Sadly, this will be the last year he'll fit in that sled. We bundled up and went out for a walk. I pulled Caleb in his sled for a while, then he decided he wanted to pull it himself. I took some pictures along the way. Here are some of them (the rest are on our Shutterfly site).
Here's my little snowbaby all bundled up and loving it! This is SO much better than his reaction a year ago.
Here's little man in his sled that he has all but outgrown. We don't have any hills, but he loved for me to pull him really fast and let go. He called it "super-fast!"
Here's our house in it's winter glory. Notice how the little Charlie Brown tree in the front is leaning under the weight of the ice. We are so thankful to have this home to shelter us from the storm.
I love irony, so I had to take this picture of the snowman birdfeeder covered in ice.
I took this picture on a whim and love the way it turned out. It's just the ice accumulation on the grass in one of the empty lots in our neighborhood.
Here's our street sign coated in ice. Check out how big those icicles are. I'd hate to be under there when they fall!
School is already cancelled again for tomorrow (Thursday). Rudy has heard rumors that he may not go on Friday because a lot of the schools don't have power. I haven't heard anything about Friday for me. I'm hoping we can just get out of the house tomorrow. We've managed pretty well, but everyone has a limit and I've about reached mine.
We have been very fortunate not to lose power in this mess. There are 10's of thousands of people in NWA without power. Ours has flickered a few times, but never for more than a couple of seconds. We were prepared for the worst last night. We even blew up the air mattress in case we needed to sleep in the living room by the fireplace. But we have been blessed. We've had heat and lights through this whole thing...and my saving grace: the internet. Facebook has been my constant companion and connection with the outside world. Rudy says I'm addicted. Maybe he's right. :)
Oh...one last thing. Just for the record, it is extremely hard to stick to a diet when you are snowed/iced in with nothing to do. We've done it, but a big bowl of chili with sour cream, fritos and cheddar is sounding pretty darn good right about now!

Inauguration...a little late

I can't believe I forgot to post about the inauguration. I use this blog partially as a way to remember the events of our lives and how we respond to them. How could I have forgotten to blog about this HUGE event?

I woke up on the morning of the inauguration of President Barack Obama absolutely brimming with hope and excitement. When I got to work, I went to CNN.com and set the live feed. I did, however, go about the business of seeing kids and providing therapy. I just checked in on the feed now and then between groups. I had a break in my schedule from 10:00-12:00, partially due to one of my kids being absent. I went immediately to the school lobby to watch on a real TV since the internet feed was so slow and breaking up/freezing now and then. I was standing in the lobby with my Kleenex in hand and huge grin on my face when one of my co-workers said, "That would be the perfect place for a terrorist attack." I whipped around, astonished, and all I could do was just say her name like she was crazy in the head. She responded, "What? It'll happen in the next 4 years." I took a deep breath and said, "I'm going to have to go somewhere else." I then went to the library to watch, only to be greeted by 25 talkative 2nd graders. Strike 2. Finally, I went in one of the 1st grade classrooms, where the teacher was watching as closely as I wanted to and was encouraging her students to watch as well. If they chose not to watch, they were at least quiet. I pulled up a chair and sat almost gape-mouthed for the next hour. I grinned and cried and wondered what was up with Aretha's hat. I soaked up every single minute of it. I hung on every word of the inaugural address and felt the pride of the new President's wife and family as they looked at him. I got goosebumps when the TV showed the diversity (and enormity) of the crowd and how they were all so joined together, despite their differences. It was an amazing experience. I loved every second of it.

Once the address was over, I went quickly to the teacher's lounge to make my lunch, then returned to the lobby in time to see the benediction and departure of the dignitaries. I was standing there in amazement when one of my co-workers asked me how I was doing. I told her I was doing great. She replied with what I can only describe as a grunt. A few minutes later, she passed by again and said (where only I could hear her), "You should know I'm an extremely conservative Republican and a little bit of a racist." WHAT?!?! I could not believe that she said that. Who in their right mind would say that to a co-worker? I didn't even know how to respond. I could only say, "I don't think I would have told anyone that." I was stunned and amazed, but didn't let it deflate my excitement of the day. By the time I got home, I was exhausted from all the grinning and walking on cloud nine. :) I watched some of the coverage of the parade and then went to bed.

It was an amazing day and (I believe) a turning point for our country and our world. I am thrilled and excited and hopeful for the future. I can't wait to see what this administration has in store for us.

Weekend Update

As I write this, our house is quiet. Caleb is napping and Rudy graciously volunteered to make the weekly trek to the grocery store. Other than the lulling sound of the dryer, it is truly quiet. I love it and I'm going to take advantage of it to update the goings and doings of the Villines family.

As usual, our days have been filled with work and daycare. We've fallen back into the routine pretty easily. Now we're 3 weeks post-vacation and we're definitely on the downhill slide to summer! It's hard to believe that, considering how cold it is outside right now, though.

Last Friday, we went to Sherwood to spend the weekend with Memmie and Poppie. We had a great visit. On Saturday morning, we took Caleb over to Little Rock to The Wonder Place. He had a grand old time and was the only kid there with 4 adults trailing after him. His favorite part was the sand table. He would've stayed there all day if we had let him. Memmie and Poppie were amazed that a place like that existed. It just fueled my fire even more. Since the first time we went to Little Bitty City, I've been dreaming of opening a place like that in NWA. (If only I had the guts to abandon my teacher retirement, my stable income and my guaranteed benefits...) All that aside, Caleb did have a great time and we got home in time for his nap, which I had to be a part of to get him to lay down long enough to sleep. Once he finally dozed off, I took Memmie to Target to get some things that we both needed. Saturday night, Memmie made a wonderful home-cooked meal of meatloaf and vegetables. She was beside herself because Rudy and I are both trying so hard to lose weight and we didn't gorge ourselves at her house for the first time ever. The food is always so good - it's hard not to just make yourself sick on it. After dinner, Caleb played with his toys and the grown-ups played a couple of games of aggravation (our usual tradition). Caleb even laid on the couch and watched us for a while as though he knew how important it was for us to get to do that. Sunday morning, we went to church and lunch and then we hit the road for home. At lunch, we managed to surprise Poppie with a birthday sundae and Caleb sang to him. It was great!

Last night, we took Rudy's grandmother to dinner. After our wonderful meal at Carrabba's, we all came back here. We decided to show her the Wii, which completely amazed her! She even tried it out by bowling. I have pictures, but they aren't uploaded yet...

As I said, Rudy and I have been working hard to lose some weight. We started 3 weeks ago - January 3rd. Our incentive is our beach trip to Florida this June, but we're also just trying to be healthier. We've both been working out at least 5 days a week and we're holding each other accountable on Weight Watchers. Rudy has already lost a noticeable amount of weight. He joined the gym offered by his school district and is using the treadmill and weights. My school offers a personal trainer to a group of teachers 2 days a week and I've been taking advantage of that. In addition, we're both using the Wii Fit a few days a week. I haven't lost what I had expected to by now, but I have lost some and I'm working hard at it. I absolutely refuse to give up. I've set some small goals along the way to my big goal so that it isn't so overwhelming. I thought I had met my first small goal last week, but then inexplicably gained 2 pounds in one day after not eating any more than usual and working out really hard. This is why WW recommends that you only weigh once a week. The daily thing is frustrating!

Update on Caleb (since I know that's why you're here):
  • He sleeps in his bed by himself most nights. Sometimes he does get up and make his way to our room. We really try to put him back in his bed, but if it's the middle of the night we usually take him to the guest bed. (I know, I know!)
  • He has only had one potty accident at school since we started back after the break. That one accident happened at naptime, so that's not really a big deal. He did have an accident at Memmie and Poppie's on Saturday, but I think that was because we were out of his routine. It's to be expected.
  • He is talking up a storm and cracking us up everyday.
  • He loves the Wii and knows that we use it to exercise and play games. He likes to play the soccer balance game, the penguin balance game and the shooting game. His favorite part is creating Miis. We have made Miis for Jan, Mom, Mr. L, Memmie, Poppie and Grandma. Caleb can tell you who all of them are.
  • Two weekends ago, we switched our office into a playroom for him. This meant selling our rarely-used elliptical machine, moving our library table/desk in the bedroom and moving our filing cabinet into our closet. That was kind of a pain, but it has been great to have that playroom. Caleb calls it his officeroom. He has his Little People table, his easel, a TV/DVD, his puzzles and all of his cars and trucks in one place. It is wonderful!
  • Caleb has also developed a new fascination with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He loves to watch it in the mornings while sitting on our bed. He holds his Mickey Mouse stuffed animal the whole time. I heard him the other day saying, "Look, Mickey Mouse, it's you! It's you!" He knows the names of all of the characters (even Pluto) and talks about them all the way to school in the mornings.
  • He loves his friends and his teachers at school and looks forward to going there every day. That makes me so happy! He talks about them all the time. He even told Rudy that Jaiden pushed him on the playground. We're starting to hear a lot about what everyone does at school. He especially loves it when someone has a birthday party! We've heard about Meredith and Levi's birthdays for a few weeks now. One day last week we were halfway home from school when he started freaking out because he forgot to tell Mrs. Natalie bye. I told him that would have to wait until the next day, because we weren't going back. I didn't think he'd go for it, but he seemed to understand. Whew...

My quiet time is over. The garage door just went up. Rudy is home with groceries that need to be put away.

Potty Mouth?

Caleb has become quite the parrot lately. He repeats everything we say, especially when we say something with emphasis. For instance, last weekend, he surprised Memmie by repeating her when she called Rudy a "fart."

We were eating dinner tonight and I don't even remember what I was talking about, but I said, "dadgummit." Caleb looked up at me with those big blue eyes and said, "Mama, did you say G*d***it?" (This is a word that I NEVER use!) I quickly deduced that he was (hopefully) trying to say what I said, but just mixed up the sounds, like he says "boosegumps" and "filey faces." Rather than overreact at his mispronunciation of dadgummit, I told him the correct way to pronounce it. He then repeated it the correct way and we went on with dinner. No harm, no foul, no mouth washed out with soap. Lesson learned. Parental snickering mostly concealed.

Super Soaker

This is the e-mail I sent to my mom and Monica today. I copied and pasted so I wouldn't have to type it out or relive it again...

Last night, we thought we had him back to normal. He was doing great and playingand laughing and we had a wonderful evening together. I put him to bed at 8:00.He got up twice and came in the living room. Both times, Rudy silently put himback in bed and walked out. Around 9:00, I heard his bedroom door open, then lessthan a minute later, I heard it shut, but never saw or heard Caleb. I decided that hewas just checking on us and thought better of coming out of his room.
2:30 AM

Caleb: "Mama, Mama, I want to get in your bed."
Haley: "What's wrong? Are you sick?"
Caleb: "I sick in my bed."
Haley - scoops up a Caleb whose pajamas are soaking wet and heads for the bathroom
Rudy - jumps out of bed and runs to Caleb's room to assess the damage only to find that there is no "sick" in Caleb's bed. It's just wet. Very, very wet.

In my 2:30 AM daze, I deduced that Caleb's pull-up had leaked and he needed clean PJ's and a new pull-up. I pulled down his pants to change him only to see his bare bottom shining back at me. No pull-up. Seriously.

Apparently when Caleb got up at 9:00, it was to throw away the perfectly dry pull-up that I put him to bed in. He took off his PJ pants, took off his pull-up, threw his pull-up in the trash, put his PJ pants back on and got back in his bed. Of course, he then wet himself at 2:30 AM and didn't want to sleep in that soaking wet bed.

I (of course) asked, "Why did you do this?" He responded, "It's in the trash can." I gave up on that line of questioning pretty quickly. Rudy took Caleb in his fresh new PJ's and pull-up to our bed and I slept in the guest bed. 5:45 came too quickly.

I'm thinking that footy pajamas with a zipper may be in his near future...and we'reputting them on backwards so he can't get out of them.

For the record...Caleb is now in the process of going to bed - in footy pajamas with a zipper. No, they are not on backwards.

Sunday Night Rambling

The last few days of our break were great. On January 2nd, I got my hair cut and colored and enjoyed a night out with my wonderful friend, Stacy. On Monday, we went back to work. Caleb was the only one of us who was really excited. He was ready to see his friends! The week was looooong and pretty exhausting. By the time we made it to Friday, we were ready for the weekend! Jan came up and spent Friday night with us. Rudy made a fantastic salmon dinner for us. Caleb LOVED having his Grandma at our house! On Saturday, Rudy went on a mission to find a new flat-screen TV for us. He brought home a big TV and then went to have lunch with a friend from high school. Jan, Caleb and I went to Build-a-Bear, where Caleb made a puppy dog and put him in a Dallas Cowboys uniform (with lots of help). Then we went to lunch at Einstein's and came back here to put Caleb down for his nap. When Rudy got home, we set up the new TV. We decided we would go out to dinner, so we loaded up in the car to go to Outback. Caleb threw a fit like I've never seen before. He calmed down long enough to get into the restaurant. As soon as we sat down, he started whining. We immediately got up and left. Forget it. Rudy and I are doing WeightWatchers and we only have so many points to use. I refuse to use my points at a dinner with a fussy child and not get to enjoy my meal. Plus, I didn't want the added stress of worrying about Caleb bothering everyone else in the restaurant. So, we left. We never even saw a waiter. We went to Best Buy so Rudy could get a cable that we needed for the TV and Caleb and I stayed in the car. I called and ordered a pizza and we went to pick it up and bring it home. That's pretty much how our whole weekend has been. Caleb has thrown fit after fit. He has started telling us "no" to everything and pretty much ignores every single thing we say. We have been on edge all weekend. Caleb has been in time out over and over. I've spanked him twice. I hate spanking him, but sometimes it's the only thing that gets his attention. Rudy can get his attention by raising his voice, but that doesn't work for me. I don't know what is wrong with Caleb. I don't know if he's feeling badly or if he's just out of sync. I do know that it's a full moon and, as crazy as it may sound, that counts for something. Kids go crazy with a full moon. I'm seriously praying that tomorrow will be the end of this phase.

On a happier note...we made some changes in our house this afternoon. It all started when we sold the elliptical machine that was in the office. We decided to turn the office into a playroom. So...the library table that we use as a desk is now in our bedroom and Caleb's easel, Elmo chair and Little People table are now in the playroom. Tonight, Rudy hung some shelves on the wall. We put the old TV in there and bought a cheap DVD player. We have already reaped the benefits of that. Caleb watched part of Cars in there tonight, which kept us from having to watch Cars again for the millionth time. With the mood that Caleb has been in this weekend, I had to remind myself that he's not always like that. Otherwise, the playroom would have been out of the question. However, it really benefits us all because it gets all of that stuff out of his room and opens up the room a lot more. Plus - we can get some of his toys out of the living room!

Inaugural Prayer

This is on my heart and I can't help but share it. Well-known pastor and Christian writer Max Lucado has started a prayer campaign for inauguration day. What a phenomenal thing for a national Christian leader to do. I hope you'll take the time to look at it and read the prayer guide.

Happy New Year!

Today is the beginning of a brand new year. As always, it is a time of reflection and a time of looking forward. 2008 was good to us. I won't go into the details here. After all, the blog archive has it all! Here are my thoughts as we look forward to 2009:

Within the next 365 days, we KNOW that
  • Caleb will turn 3, I will turn 33 and Rudy will turn 34.
  • Rudy and I will celebrate our 10th anniversary.
  • We will have a new President - the first President that Caleb will ever remember, just like Rudy and I remember Jimmy Carter.
  • We will support each other in taking the steps to become healthier people.
  • We will continue to encourage each other when we struggle and celebrate each other when we succeed.
  • We will continue to thank God for all of the blessings that he gives us.

Within the next 365 days, we HOPE that

  • We (and our friends and family) will be healthy.
  • We will have a wonderful Florida vacation with Mom and Mr. L in June.
  • We will have a wonderful 4th of July vacation in STL with the Villines family.
  • We will finish and begin another school year without difficulty.
  • We will have fewer trips to the pediatrician and convenient care.
  • We will manage to finally get that 4-wheeler that Rudy has been eyeing for a long time.
  • The world will become a healthier, safer and more peaceful place to live.

Some of these are big things and some of them are trivial, but that's what life is made of. Wishing you and yours a very happy, healthy and blessed 2009.

Travel, Woo Pig, Big Boy Bed, Christmas Detox, Etc.

We finished out our week in Hot Springs on Sunday (12/28) with what Mom called our "culminating activity." It became the catchphrase for the evening as we walked through the amazing Christmas light display at Garvan Gardens. The lights were beautiful and we all enjoyed being together. Afterwards, we went to Hawg's for pizza and then home to put on our PJ's and get ready for our trip home on Monday. Caleb decided to sleep in the bed with Pops and LaLa, but definitely had a hard time getting to sleep. I could hear the 3 of them giggling and talking for a while, then it got quiet and I assumed they had all gone to sleep. I was two-thirds correct. I was reading on the couch at 11:15, when the door opened and Caleb's head popped out. He said he had to go potty, so we made a quick trip. Once I put him back in the bed and turned off the TV, he was fine. However, I did hear Buzz Lightyear ("To infinity and beyond!") a couple of times. I'm not sure why he insists on sleeping with that hard plastic toy that makes all sorts of noises, but he does.

We loaded up the car to the max and headed home on Monday morning. I thought that maybe the late night would mean that Caleb would sleep in the car, but no dice. He watched movies all the way home. Thank Heavens for that DVD player! We got home around 2:00 and put Caleb down for his nap. I got to work unpacking and Rudy headed to WalMart for some groceries, because our cupboard was bare! We knew when we got home that we were going to be on "Christmas Detox." We had to get Caleb (and ourselves) back in the routines and expectations of being at home and not in holiday mode. Detox has been a challenge for us all. We're hoping the return of our work/school routine next week will help...but we're enjoying what's left of our break!

On Tuesday, Rudy undertook the task of converting Caleb's crib into a toddler bed. When we bought his crib before he was born, it seemed like it would be an eternity before we ever needed that extra railing that came with it. Now, it seems like just yesterday that we were putting him in that crib for the very first time. The bed conversion went fine and Caleb was so excited to get in for his nap all by himself. Unfortunately, he was also excited to get OUT all by himself. Every bedtime and naptime since has been a little bit of a challenge, but they are slowly getting better. The bedding looks great and Caleb loves his new "big boy bed."
As soon as Caleb woke up from his first nap in his new bed, he asked if it was time to go see the Razorbacks. He was right! We went to Fayetteville Tuesday night to see the Hogs play OU. We were a little worried about how the game would turn out, but we were very pleasantly surprised! The Hogs played awesome, won the game and we had a great time! Caleb was a little reticent at first, as he usually is - but came out of his shell before halftime and started dancing and jumping up and down. He even called the Hogs every time the crowd did! I couldn't have been prouder! :) Before the game, we got to see Tusk and have our picture made in front of his trailer. Caleb was excited to have his picture taken with Pork Chop!

Wednesday (New Year's Eve) was busy! We took Rudy's car in to the shop for a minor tune-up and then came back here to take down the Christmas tree. Rudy played with Caleb and kept him out of the way while I boxed and bagged everything up for next year. As sad as it is to have Christmas behind us again, I always enjoy getting the house put back together. When Rudy's car was finished, I took him to get it and then Caleb and I came home. Rudy went on a search for a new Christmas tree storage bag and went to get steaks, twice-baked potatoes and shrimp to cook for dinner. He struck out on the storage bag, so I ended up going out later for that after calling and finding one. While Caleb napped, we hauled all of the Christmas stuff up to the attic (this is when I miss having a basement) and rearranged some stuff up there for easier access. When we came down from the attic, I went on a clean-out binge and finally took care of the guest room storage closet and our office.

While I was doing all of that, Rudy went to Springdale. I decided over the break that I would really like to have a Wii and the Wii Fit software to work out with. I searched all over Benton County, but everyone was completely sold out, so I found one on the internet. The guy who was selling it met Rudy in Springdale yesterday. Since we got it home and set-up, we have had a lot of fun with it and Rudy and I have both commented that the workout on the Fit is great! Tonight, Rudy downloaded 2 games that he played when he was a kid. He was hilarious playing those old games!

When Rudy got back from Springdale, I set up the Wii and he cooked our amazing NYE dinner. The steaks were absolutely fantastic and the shrimp were so yummy! After dinner, we played with the Wii and watched a little football. We were pretty boring as far as New Year's Eve goes. Caleb had a lot of trouble going to sleep because he took a forever-long nap. He came out of his room about 10 times - each time with a different excuse:

  • I need to go pee-pee.
  • I can't find Woody's hat.
  • The shadows are mean.
  • I need to tell you something.
  • I just looking for something.
  • I don't want that nightlight.
  • I want that nightlight.
  • etc, etc, etc

We put him back to bed every time. Finally, he went to sleep. It was well after 10:00. I was in bed by 11:15, watching the annual tape-delayed coverage of Times Square. Rudy was in the recliner playing online poker. Woo-hoo! Party animals!

Today has been good start to the new year. We've watched football, eaten cheese dip, eaten black-eyed pea soup, taken naps, played with the Wii and even exercised some on the Wii. I cleaned out Caleb's closet and toybox to make room for the new stuff that he got for Christmas and to get rid of some things that were settling in the back of the closet and bottom of the toybox - never to be seen again! I learned a vital lesson: don't clean out the toybox when Caleb is in the house. Everything I pulled out of the toybox became his favorite toy ever. I finally managed to get it all boxed up and Rudy put it in the attic while Caleb was sleeping. Caleb's behavior today wasn't so hot because he was tired and grumpy, but we managed to make it through it and he went to bed tonight easier than expected. He only got up 2 or 3 times. :)

Tomorrow is a fun day for me. I'm getting my hair done and going to dinner and movie with Stacy! The boys are going to Nana's for dinner. I can't believe it's Friday already!!!
