A Little Boy's Almost-Perfect Saturday

If it weren't for having to take a nap, this would be Caleb's perfect Saturday. Well, he'd probably also like to be with any combination of his grandparents, too. But - this is as close at it gets to perfect for right now.

Caleb got his first fishing pole today. Rudy took him to "the huntin' store" to pick it out in preparation for their fishing trip with Pops in a couple of weeks. Caleb chose the one with Lightning McQueen on it...and it lights up - just like the pros, right?
They practiced a little in the backyard. Caleb thinks he caught something. It's the practice weight. Rudy says he's too young to cast, but he should be able to reel. We'll see... He just wants so badly to be like the big boys. He also got a chance to practice riding his "bike" which is actually a tricycle. The handle on the back is for pushing when he gets tired. This is a 3-in-1 trike that started out as a rocker, then a ride-on with the push bar. Now, he's about ready for us to take the handle off so he can ride all by himself.

Rudy also took a short video...

Hi Haley-I like that trike. I'll have to remember it for Abby when she's old enough. BTW, how do you get the blog updates to show up for the blogs you read? I want to put that on my site so I don't have to click on every blog to see if they've been updated.
